The TRIP panel exists to examine and scrutinise the work of South Shropshire & Meres and Mosses Housing Associations. They are an important part of our commitment to actively work with residents to ensure that we provide great services to our customers in an efficient and effective way.

The Panel members are very clear that they work on behalf of all the tenants and residents of South Shropshire & Meres and Mosses Housing Associations, and are keen to hear from all residents about the services they are receiving.

Who can get involved?

Any tenant or resident of South Shropshire/Meres & Mosses Housing Associations can become a member. We can arrange for you to talk to the Chair or other members of the Panel to get a feel for what is involved and the benefits they have gained from it.

It is very easy to join the Panel; you will be asked to fill in a simple application form and meet with the Chair for an informal interview. If you are interested please contact the Neighbourhood Involvement Manager on 0300 303 1190.

If you have an idea for a topic or service which the Panel should look into, then please do get in touch. Or, if you feel that Panel membership may be a step too far, but you have an interest in a particular area of our business, then the Panel would be pleased to work with you.

Who is TRIP?

The Panel itself can have up to 10 members and is open to all tenants, shared owners and leaseholders. It is resident led, and benefits from the support of a dedicated member of staff.

TRIP Update

Over the last few months TRIP carried out a review of Asset Management and their role in Planned Maintenance.

Improvements will now be made based on the TRIP recommendations.

The review also highlighted the need for  staff making planned maintenance visits to be given regular training about how to spot when tenants are struggling to live independently, including using sensitivity and confidentiality about how to deal with this and how to flag concerns

TRIP are currently reviewing how we deals with Anti Social Behaviour

Following on from a TRIP review of the Grounds Maintenance service last autumn a grounds maintenance feedback network has been set up. New network members are welcome. Please let us know if you'd be prepared to complete a short feedback form once a quarter.

If you would like to be part of the network please contact the Neighbourhood Involvement Manager on 0300 303 1190. You will be invited to comment on the grounds maintenance taking place around where you live. You don't need to come to meetings. It will all be done by email. Feedback by email is preferred but if you don’t use email address you will be able to send us the feedback form by post. Your housing assoication has made a commitment to follow up any report of dissatisfaction with the service and improve the service where practical.
