Ludlow Town Council, in partnership with South Shropshire Housing Association, are seeking the views of town residents on their vision for the town over the next five to ten years.
As part of the Community-Led Plan consultation, a free children’s craft activity day and Easter Egg hunt is being held at the Rockspring Centre, Ludlow, on Friday, April 13, from 1.30-3.30pm and 5-7pm. Everyone attending will also be able to enjoy free hotdogs, burgers and pizzas.
Councillor Erica Garner, Chair of the Community-Led Plan Steering Group, said: “This plan has been initiated by Ludlow Town Council but the important voices are those from Ludlow’s community and it is those voices which will help to shape the town’s future.
“We want people’s views on the needs of young and older people, housing, transport, parking, shopping, tourism, economic development and the environment. These issues are all vital to the sustainability of the Ludlow we all know and love, so I would urge residents to attend this free event and enjoy the craft activities and free food,” she added.
SSHA wants as many of its tenants as possible to attend too so that their voices are heard.
Jake Berriman, Deputy Chief Executive, said: “We have many residents living in Ludlow and we want to ensure their opinions are recorded during this important consultation as part of our ambition to make communities stronger.
“I would encourage as many families as possible to take advantage of these free activities during the Easter holidays and to share their views on their future vision for Ludlow.
”Anyone is welcome to attend and everyone who has their say on Ludlow’s future will also be entered into a prize draw to win shopping vouchers,” he added.
If you are unable to attend the consultation event then don’t forget that questionnaires will also be posted to all addresses in Ludlow and completed forms can be posted in more than 20 locations throughout the town.
