Main purpose and scope of the job:

 

This position within South Shropshire Housing Association consists of

  • The efficient and effective management of Group wide procurement, monitoring, maintaining and improving service and product delivery in accordance with the policies and procedures of Connexus and ensure adherence of legal and legislative requirements and best practice.
  • The efficient and effective management of Total Response procurement, monitoring, maintaining and improving service and product delivery in accordance with the policies and procedures of Connexus and ensure adherence of legal and legislative requirements and best practice
  • Store and Van Stock Management, ensuring a regular supply of goods and services to the operatives in Total Response.
  • Commitment to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction at all times.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  1. To assist the Procurement Manager with the planning and organisation and procurement goods and supplies for the work of Total Response Responsive Repair and Void Maintenance Work in conjunction with the Repair and Voids supervisors.
  2. To assist the Procurement Manager with planning and organisation and procurement of goods and supplies for Connexus.
  3. To assist the Procurement Manager with planning and organising in Conjunction with Total Response Contracts Managers the procurement of goods and supplies for contract work awarded to Total Response
  4. To manage the day to day provision of vehicle tracking software.
  5. To support Total Response with the requisition system for material orders from operatives
  6. Support in the production of processes and procedures to support the procurement system, in particular to ensure that processes and information on framework procurement are implemented and reviewed regularly

 

  1. To assist the Procurement Manager with achieving economies of scale through supplier activity consolidation, whilst supporting individual’s needs where possible
  2. To assist the Procurement Manager with management of the out-turn savings monitoring against procurement activity and provision of information to the Executive Director. To ensure information is provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  3. To assist the Procurement Manager with the management of key supplier relationships, supporting value engineering through improvement of specifications and product consolidation.
  4. To contribute to the optimisation of performance of the Total Response responsive repair and void maintenance operatives
  5. To be an effective representative of Connexus in all contact with other organisations and agencies.
  6. To contribute to debates and meetings in your areas of competence.
  7. To contribute to the Group’s continuous improvement through the objectives of the Performance Plan.
  8. To contribute to the development of the Group’s corporate business objectives.
  9. These duties are not extensive and explain the basics of the position; you will be required to perform reasonable additional duties at the request of the Executive Director.
